Christmas Carol | (Lou Mac 352) Don Wood |
OPENER Basic - SSD Week 4
Sides face grand square
I was playing Santa Claus downtown on Christmas Eve
When a little girl of 3 or 4 climbed up on my knee
I saw she had a question behind those eyes of blue
So I asked her what her name was
Allemande left and weave you do
She said my name is Christmas Carol, I was born on Christmas day
I don't know who my daddy is and mamma's gone away
All I want for Christmas is someone to take me home
Doesn't anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own?
FIGURE Mainstream - SSD Week 12, corner progression
Head pair promenade go halfway round the hall
Down the middle and square thru 4 hands you all
Go all the way around and you do the right & left thru
Veer left and circulate, why don't we go by twos?
Half tag and scoot back, that corner lady swing
Swing and whirl that pretty girl and promenade around the ring
All she wants for Christmas is someone to take her home
Doesn't anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own?
MIDDLE BREAK Basic - SSD Week 1
All 4 ladies promenade once inside the ring
Get back home and swing your man around the ring I sing
Join up hands and circle to the left go round the ring
Allemande left your corner then you weave the ring
She said my name is Christmas Carol, I was born on Christmas day
I don't know who my daddy is and mamma's gone away
All I want for Christmas is someone to take me home
Doesn't anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own?
CLOSER Basic - SSD Week 4
Sides face grand square
Early that next morning I got up and dialed the phone
I made a few arrangements with the County Childrens Home
They said it would be alright to pick her up today
And now my Christmas Carol won't ever have to say
Allemande and weave
My name is Christmas Carol, I was born on Christmas day
I don't know who my daddy is and mamma's gone away
All I want for Christmas is someone to take me home
Doesn't anybody want a Christmas Carol of their own?
