FIGURE

Bow to your partner, corners all, join hands and circle the hall
Circle left around that way, walking, walking hear me say
Reverse back single file, lady lead Indian style
Girls star left inside, men step out and turn back

Meet your partner right hand round, all the way round to the corner girl
Allemande left alamo style, partner right, balance awhile
Balance in, balance out, turn by the right hand half about
Balance out, balance in, turn by the left and four men

Star across from where you are to the opposite girl like an allemande thar
Back up boys and form a star, walk along backwards not too far
Shoot that star to the girl ahead, promenade that's what I said
Promenade just for me, home you go and 1 & 3

Heads go forward back with you, side two couples crosstrail
Around one box the gnat, stand behind them just like that
Forward eight and back that way, couple cone half sashay
Split those couples across the floor, U-turn back behind those four

Forward eight and back that way, the lone couple half sashay
Down the middle cross the track, split those couples and u-turn back
Forward eight come back again, forward again and separate
Girls go right, men go left, single file around the land

Meet with the right hand dixie grand, right & left hand over hand
Partners all swing and whirl, swing your lady swing that girl
Allemande left the corner maid, come back one and promenade
Promenade go round the floor, get along home and two and four

Two and four lead to the right lead to the right, lead to the right and circle four
Circle four you're doing fine, side men break and make two lines
Forward eight and back with you, forward again right & left thru
Dixie chain straight across, girls go left men go right

There's old corner with a left allemande, here we go right & left grand
Right & left hand over hand, rock and roll to the rhythm of the band
Find your gal find your date, hook right on and promenade eight
One around and then no more, home you go and two and four

Sides go forward back with you, head two couples pass thru
Divide the ring go round one, behind those couples stand
Go forward eight and back that way, couple two half sashay
Split those couples across the floor, u-turn back behind those four

Go forward eight and back that way, that lone couple half sashay
Down the middle cross the track, split those couples and you turn back
Forward eight and back you sail, forward again and cross trail
Follow the leader around the land, meet with the right hand dixie grand

Hand over hand and you should know, pass your partner on you go
Allemande left the corner Jane, then wave the ring like a daisy chain
Go forward two, weave in and out
Around that girl and turn back, walk all around the corner one

Go forward two, weave out and in
Around that girl turn back, see saw the corner one
Go forward two, weave in and out
Around that girl turn back, walk all around the corner one

Go forward two, weave out and in
Around that girl and turn back, see saw the corner one
Partners all box the gnat, pull her by just like that
Allemande left with the old left hand, here we go right & left grand

Right & left go round the ring, right and left hand over hand
Dosado when you meet your maid, take your lady and promenade
Promenade go round the track, home you go and don't look back
Box to your partner corners all, keeno that's it, that's all.

The figure used in this dance is taken from Run The Gauntlet by Dave Palmer Ypsilanti, Michigan. The break Weave the Ring Like a Daisy Chain is credited to an idea by Jim Hall Birmingham, Alabama. If you have difficulty with this just pretend you are touching hands and remember to go forward two, back one, as you do in the standard Daisy Chain.
