Ritual Chocolate began in 2010 in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, eventually settling in the mountain town of Park City Utah and travelling the world in search of the best cacao. We fell in love with chocolate—not just the eating part, but the history of and the beautiful stories of small chocolatiers around Europe that would live above their chocolate shops and devote their lives to creating and perfecting their craft. There is something about chocolate that grips people and inspires them. We desperately wanted to be a part of this world and share what we discovered. Through our specialized approach to roasting, milling and aging, we are able to preserve the flavors that are unique to our single estate cacao beans. We are involved with the entire chocolate making process, from the bean to the bar, because we want to ensure that our values for the highest achievable quality are present every step of the way, including the traceability of ingredients, sustainable living for the cacao farmers, and inspiring our customers to explore the world of chocolate. --Robbie Stout and Anna Davies

Made with organic, Costa Rican cacao from one of the world's best cacao farms. The richness of this chocolate makes it a favorite among dark chocolate lovers, yet its complexity attracts the true connoisseurs. The bold, earthy peaks and hints of blackberry and walnut found in this chocolate are a result of the volcanic-rich soil of Costa Rica and careful drying methods of the cacao.

Made with cacao from the Gran Couva region of Trinidad. The small island of Trinidad is the birthplace of the Trinitario cacao varietal, which is known for its fine flavor. With this historically significant origin, we've created a chocolate that is as delicate as it is complex, with surprising sweetness and notes of oak and tobacco.

DLA: By all standards, Madagascar origin is my all-time favorite, hands-down. Ritual has also been one of my all-time favorite makers, but this rendering of Madagascar by Ritual leaves me disappointed in both. There's no fruity overtones, it has a chalky finish, and is rather "common-place" in my opinion.

In this inclusion bar we combine our fruit-forward Belize chocolate with our nutty Madagascar nibs for a tasting experience that is both smooth and crunchy. The added crunch introduces a new, chewable, way to enjoy the unique flavors for which we are known. We think you will enjoy the familiar flavor sensation of dried fruit and nuts - without the dried fruit and nuts. Our single origin chocolate is made in Colorado using traditional, European methods with ethically-sourced cacao from around the world. We welcome you to take the time to taste the unique and balanced flavor of our chocolate, just as we have taken the time to create it.
