Amedei is a chocolate manufacturing company located in the Tuscany region of Italy. Begun in Pisa in 1990, Amedei is the result of a cacao love affair of the brother and sister team of Cecilia and Alessio Tessieri.

The "family treasure". This blend expresses the Amedei philosophy. Combined here are cacaos of 9 plantations which, over the years, have been discovered, restored and rendered productive again by Alessio Tessieri: an exceptional raw material. From this, Cecilia created a powerful and balanced dark chocolate, in which the aromas of the plantations persist in the unmistakable flavour of this chocolate.

A vintage chocolate...the discovery of the most aromatic and wild cocoa is united with the love from he who knows how to tame it and turn it into a real connoisseurs chocolate. A blend of rare cocoa from Peru in an unforgettable limited edition. The scent of berries and wild mushrooms alternates with that of dried plums and toasted almonds. The name Chuao brings to the mind the legend of Mayan cocoa, a primitive taste, an earthly paradise where the "food of the gods" grows. It wasn't easy for Amedei to purchase and process these beans, and proved even more challenging for Cecilia Tessieri to "tame" the wild bean, which had never been tasted in the pure form. She discovered that after a 20-day aging period, this chocolate - unlike any other - continues to develop and improves its acidity and aroma.
