Each Center dancer determines whether their starting position within the overall formation is Lines or Columns. If starting as if Centers of Parallel Lines, they must finish as if they are Ends of Parallel Lines. If starting as if Centers of Columns, then they must finish as if they are Ends of Columns.
The final formation may not actually be Lines or Columns, since dancers can be T-Boned. EN: 371
Only the original center 4 dancers need to concern themselves with this, as there is only one possible ending position for the original outsides. EN: 38
