  1. Step Forward;
  2. Turn 1/4 toward the Center of the 4-dancer formation; EN: 30

Notes:
  • Only the Ends are active on Ends Bend. Centers do not move (except to allow for square breathing, such as when Ends Bend is called from Facing Lines -- in which case, Centers back up to allow the Ends to get into the middle). EN: 60
  • The Ends can Roll. This is because the definition contains the phrase 'as one movement'. EN: 70
  • If both Ends start facing the same direction, they must be facing each other upon completion of the call. EN: 80
  • A common mistake dancer make on Ends Bend is to do a 1/4 In instead. Be sure to Step Forward, 1/4 In, then Step Forward again. EN: 90
  • The most common choreographic application of Ends Bend is from Out-Facing Lines. At A2, the most common follow-up calls for an Ends Bend are Split Square Thru (n) and Split Square Chain Thru. EN: 100
  • Ends Bend was originally named Bend The Ends. EN: 110
