注意:
  • Do not add a Spread unless the caller explicitly says so.
  • Grand expands a call normally done from a 4-dancer setup (such as a 2 x 2 or 1 x 4) into a call that involves more (typically 8) dancers (working in an 8-dancer setup such as a 2 x 4 or 1 x 8).

    • From Columns, Grand usually means that the #1 dancer does the Leader's part of the call as the others do the Trailer's part of the call. (For example, from Columns, a Grand Scoot & Dodge has the #1 dancer Dodge as the others Grand Scoot Back [Triple Scoot]).
    • From a 1 x n, Grand usually means that the very End dancer does the End's part of the call as the others do the Center's part of the call. (For example, from an 8-dancer Wave, a Grand Slither would have the Center 3 pairs of dancers slide nose-to-nose.)
    • Other calls (A2 or below) that could easily be extended using the Grand Concept include Dixie Style To A Wave, Extend, Fan The Top, Lockit, Pass & Roll, Peel & Trail, Scoot & Dodge, Slip, Slither, Spin The Top, Swap Around (from L-H 1/4 Box), Switch To A Diamond, Veer Right | Left, Walk & Dodge, 并做 Wheel Thru (from R-H 1/4 Box).

For some Grand calls, you need to re-evaluate your position as the call progresses.

There are some Grand calls that do no follow this definition of Grand (e.g., Grand Square).

Occasionally Grand Follow Your Neighbor is called from T-Bones. In this case, dancers who are in Lines work Split (i.e., on your own side).
