Triangle [Working As A Box] Concept [C2]

The Triangle [Working As A Box] CONCEPT allows for a call normally done from a 2 x 2 to be done from a generalized Tandem-Based Triangle. EN: 10

Unless otherwise specified by the caller, the Apex dancer always acts as a Trailer whereas the Base dancers have clear Leader-Trailer roles. This leaves one 'phantom' in the execution of the call. The three dancers and the phantom work together to execute the given call. At the completion of the call, a space may be reserved for the phantom dancer (see note below). EN: 20

Notes:
  • Historically, the phantom's part of the call does not involve much interaction with any real dancers. EN: 40
  • If the call ends in a 2 x 2, EN: 50
    1. each dancer must end on one of the original Triangle footprints. EN: 60
  • If the call does not end in a 2 x 2, EN: 70
    1. The phantom position is kept if the phantom ends as a center of a 1 x 4, Diamond, or Single 1/4 Tag. EN: 80
    2. Otherwise, if the effect of removing the phantom causes all of the real dancers to move closer to the center of the set, then the phantom is removed. EN: 90
