- Truck:
Boys sidestep one dancer position to the Left;
Girls sidestep one dancer position to the Right.
- Reverse Truck:
Boys sidestep one dancer position to the Right;
Girls sidestep one dancer position to the Left.
Noter:
-
'Position' in terms of this definition refers to a spot that could be
occupied by a dancer. Within a 2 x 4 there are eight positions. A
Squared Set, Butterfly, or "O" is a 16-Matrix (4 x 4) formation,
and one position refers to an adjacent spot within that
rectangular grid.
-
Truck is a sex-dependent call: Girls always sidestep Right,
Boys always sidestep Left.
-
Callers could also say direction Truck where
direction can be In, Out, Right, or Left. In this case,
sidestep one position toward the given direction. The given
direction is relative to the Center of the Set. This usage
of Truck is not sex-dependent.
-
Truck is a positional call such as
Loop [C2]
and
Press [C1,C2].
