To use pitch control with CSDS, install Winamp and a DSP plug-in such as Pacemaker or Chronotron.
The Pacemaker plug-in is suggested.
Get Winamp and the plug-ins here:
https://www.ceder.net/csds2/.
Or, go to the Winamp website,
https://winamp.com/player,
and download the Legacy Player (Winamp version 5.xx).
Once Pacemaker is installed, configure Winamp to use it:
-
Start Winamp;
-
From the Winamp menu, select 'Options | Preferences';
-
From the left-hand side, select 'DSP/Effect';
-
Select 'PaceMaker temp controller v2.1';
-
Press the 'Configure active plug-in';
-
Press the 'OK' button on the 'Configure PaceMaker' dialog box;
-
Close the 'Winamp Preferences' dialog box;
Configure CSDS to use Winamp:
-
If the CSDS Music Player is open, close it then re-open it.
-
On the Music Player tab, select Winamp.
-
If you have not registered the PaceMaker plug-in...
CSDS will display a dialog box indicating that the PaceMaker is not
registered. Read the message if you like, but I believe you can ignore it.
Pacemaker will occasionally pop-up a reminder to register the product,
which CSDS will usually automatically dismiss. This product is very old,
and I don't think that it is supported anymore, so even if you want to
register it, you may not be able to.
