Call from Screen - Sight Call

Overview

The 'Sight Call' portion of 'Call From Screen' consists of two areas:
  1. A list area, showing a set of calls and concepts from a list;
  2. A getout area, showing getouts within a specifc level range for a specific formation.

Initializing the 'Sight Call' tab

  1. Edit the dance (e.g., Dance | Edit);
  2. Go to the 'Sight call' tab, and select a List (e.g., press a shortcut button such as 'A2');
  3. Close the dance;

The 'Sight Call' Tab

Within 'Call From Screen', press the 'Z' key to bring the 'Sight Call' tab to the primary frame.

List Area

To remove a call from the list:
  1. Double-press the key corresponding to the call. E.g., to remove 'Acey Deucey' shown above, quickly press the '2' key twice.
  2. or, press the button to the left of the call
  3. or, use the cursor keys to select a call then press the 'Enter' key.
The call is removed, and a random remaining call is displayed in it's place.

To shuffle the list, and randomly display remaining items,
  1. Press the spacebar, or
  2. Press the button on the tab's toolbar

To display the Ceder Chest definition of the call,
  1. Press the icon to the right of the call.

Toolbar:

  • Undo last remove - undoes remoing the last removed item.
  • Clear use counts - clears use counts in the list, then randomly displays a set of calls.
  • Shuffle (Insert) - shuffles the list and ramdomly displays a set of remaining items.
    (note: the shortcut key is the 'Insert' button)
  • View list -
  • Edit list - edits the list (to select levels and types of calls).
  • Change number of rows and columns -
  • Change list - changes the displayed list.
  • Help - displays this help page

Getout Area

From - filters the starting formation for the displayed getouts

  • All - All getout types listed below
     
  • Zero Box - Eight Chain Thru, after Heads Square Thru 4
  • Zero Line - Eight Chain Thru, after Heads Lead Right + Circle To A Line
  • Zero Wave - Parallel R-H Waves, after Heads Square Thru 4 + Step To A Wave
  • 0-Tag Dixie Grand - Start DPT, after Heads Star Thru + (All) Zoom
  • H Lead Right - Eight Chain Thru, after Heads Lead Right
  • L4p -
  • Opposite Line - all paired with opposites, in sequence.
  • Sw The Fract - Parallel R-H Waves, after Heads Lead Right + All Half Sashay + Touch
  • 0-Tag C SqTh 3 - Start DPT, after Heads Star Thru
  • 0-Tag C PsTh - Start DPT, after Heads Star Thru + Right & Left Thru
  • Across Street Box - Eight Chain Thru, after Heads 1/2 Square Thru

Level - filters the displayed getouts to a desired level range. Enter the minimum and maximum level for the getouts to be displayed.
