To add a new call to CSDS (such as an old call or experimental),
you have to do 3 things:
-
Add the call to the list database.
- Go to 'List | List database | Edit'.
- Select 'Edit | Add new record'.
-
Enter information in the 'Enter new record' edit box.
- Put the call name in the 'Text' field.
- Select the appropriate 'Level' and 'Number of Dancers'.
- Modify the other fields as desired.
- Write down the number in the 'Handle' field.
- Click the 'Save' button.
- Close the window, and select "Y" to Save Changes.
-
Add the call to the parse database.
- Go to 'Parse | Parse database | Edit'.
- Select 'Edit | Add new record'.
- Enter the call name within the 'Text string' field.
-
Enter the Handle number (from the list database, step 1-d above)
within the 'Handle list' field.
- Click the 'Save' button.
- Repeat steps b thru e for all possible spellings of the call.
- Close the window, and select "Y" to Save Changes.
-
Add the call to the snapshot database.
-
This can best be accomplished by writing a sequence via
'Sequence | New sequence [graphics]'. Write the sequence
and set up the call then try to do the call.
