 Cast And Turn 

Definition:
 

Version #1 (Emanuel Duming - 1968). From a wave: Cast Off 3/4. Those now facing do a Turn Thru or Left Turn Thru (with whichever arm is free) on the diagonal. Finishes with pairs back to back.

Version #2 (Holman Hudspeth - 1970). From a wave: Cast Off 3/4 (or one quarter if so designated) then all do a Box Circulate. Finishes in a four person box.

COMMENT: For Version #2, call directionally.

 Form A "T" 

Definition:
 

A couple in single file will move to stand directly behind or in front of another couple to set up one version of what are currently called "T-Bone" formations (A formation in which adjacent dancers face at right angles to each other).

 Grand Change The Star 

Definition:
 

From a squared set: Heads (or Sides) Spin the Top then walk straight ahead (step thru) to make a four-hand, right-hand star with the outside two and finish a Change the Star. Now do a complete Change a Web. When the wave in the center is formed, the ends arm turn one another full around as the outside dancers face partners and Dosado full around. When the centers have re-formed the (temporary) wave in the middle, they Pass Thru to take the next call.

 Grand Rotary Tag 

Definition:
 

Heads Part: Rotary Tag (right) to a wave (arm turn opposite half by the right and the men arm turn 3/4 by the left and spread so the ladies can tag thru the men and then run right into a wave) then step thru and walk out to face out at the side positions. Roll apart from each other 3/4 around to face, then Star Thru and California Twirl and promenade to the right 1/4 where they do a 3/4 right face Wheel Around to end facing in. Sides Part: Do a "spot" roll apart from each other 3/4 around to face one another, then Star Thru and California Twirl, then promenade to the right one quarter then do a 3/4 right face Wheel Around to face in at the head position. Do a Rotary Tag (right) to a wave then step thru and walk out to the side position. All do the above routine twice. The second time through, when the sides reach home they will roll apart from each other to face, then Star Thru and California Twirl to end facing in.

 Loop And Tag 

Definition:
 

From completed double pass thru formation: Cloverleaf and double pass thru then take the next call (In, Out, Right, Left, Zig Zag). From double pass thru formation: Leads move as in Cloverleaf, trailers follow and then all double pass thru to take the next call). NOTE: There is no "TAG" here--only a Double Pass Thru.

 Pass To The Outside 

Definition:
 

From eight chain thru formation: All Pass Thru then the new center couples (former outsides) Partner Trade. Finishes in completed double pass thru formation.

From Z formation: Leads Peel Off while trailers step forward and arm turn 3/4 to form a facing diamond. All Diamond Circulate. New centers do a single hinge. Finishes in a wave.

Definition:
 

From parallel waves: Swing Thru, then Spin Chain Thru and the ends Circulate once. Finishes in parallel waves.

 Rotary Tag (Left) To A Line 

Definition:
 

From a right hand wave: Ends arm turn adjacent dancers half, new centers arm turn 3/4 and spread apart. New ends Partner Tag Left and move up a quarter to the ends of a two faced line. Finishes in a two faced line.

Definition:
 

From a right hand wave: Ends arm turn adjacent dancers half, new centers arm turn 3/4 and spread. New ends Partner Tag Right (between the spreaders). Same taggers move up a quarter to the ends of a new wave. Finishes in a right hand wave.

 Rotary Tag - Spin A Web 

Definition:
 

From a wave between and perpendicular to two outside couples facing in. In the wave all arm turn half then the centers arm turn 3/4 and spread to allow the new ends to tag through and face right to form a three-hand "web" star with the outsides. The center two now side step together to form a two-hand star. The three stars now turn full around. The two in the web stars who were in the original wave return to the center and join the center star to make it a four-handed one. Turn the four-hand star halfway and the two who were in the two-hand star do a partner tag and then run right to make a wave. The others face right and promenade a quarter and wheel right 3/4 to face in. Finishes in one-quarter tag formation.

 Rotary Tag The Diamond 

Definition:
 

From a right hand wave: Ends arm turn adjacent dancers half, new centers arm turn 3/4 and spread. New ends do a Partner Tag Left and all do a Diamond Circulate where new centers (the ones who tagged thru) arm turn 3/4. Others U-turn back. Finishes in a right hand wave.

 Rotary Tag Thru The Star 

Definition:
 

From a right hand wave: All swing half by the right, new centers swing 3/4 by the left and spread while the new ends do a Partner Tag Left (between the spreaders) and form a four hand left hand star. Turn this star halfway at which point those who did the 3/4 arm turn do a partner Tag (between the other two who spread) and then Run right as centers sidestep together. Finishes in a right hand wave.

 Surround The Man/Girl 

Definition:
 

Two files of four facing each other (If lead dancer is a man you Surround the Man; if a girl, you Surround the Girl): Lead dancers stand pat. Second dancers move up to stand at the right side of the leader. Third person steps up to stand at the left side of the leader. Fourth dancer steps up to stand directly behind the leader (who is thus "Surrounded").

 Tumble 

Definition:
 

From a couple: U-turn back by turning in toward each other. Finishes as a couple with facing direction reversed. NOTE: Same meaning as Backtrack from a promenade.
