Version #1

From parallel waves: Do Half of a Trade the Wave (Lock It) to form an eight hand (Tidal) wave. Those who can swing half by the left, then in each half of the Tidal Wave do a Spin the Top. Finishes in parallel waves. (Harry Ed Dunkle 1968)

Version #2

From parallel waves: Fan the Top into a Tidal Wave. Center two dancers Trade then in each half of the Tidal Wave do a Spin the Top. Finishes in parallel waves. (Same end result as Version #1) (Oklahoma Callers' Assoc. 1970) [Ed. note: This is the version we use today.]
