 Dixie Wheel

Definition:

From facing couples: Right hand dancers start like a Dixie Chain, giving a right and pulling by, then a left to the next and pull by. Trailing dancers meet with the right forearm to do a full turn around and pull by. Sometimes the outside dancers were directed to turn back and perform the next move with the dancers coming out of the wheel. Sometimes outside dancers remained facing out and when the dancers came out of the wheel they continued single file as in a regular Dixie Chain.

Ralph Kinnane 1960
