- From facing lines: Ends circulate around the outside passing three people right shoulders to do a quarter in immediately upon passing the third person. These two become a pair facing in on the outside of an eight chain thru formation. Simultaneously, the center four pass thru, quarter out, partner trade and then pass thru. Finishes in a static square with two couples facing out and two facing in. Load the Boat, along with Horseshoe Turn, started a whole trend of combination movements that still continues unabated.
