Profile in Callers and Cuers

While in the U.S. Air Force and stationed in Montana, Doug began Square Dancing in 1980 and later that same year began Round Dancing. In 1981, he took up Square Dance Calling and begin teaching in 1985. He became the club caller for the Dudes & Dolls in Great Falls, MT the same year. He helped run a Callers Clinic on Timing with Erwin West using the Dick Ledger Timing School Method. The clinic was held every other year in Great Falls, MT. Doug guest calls at various clubs in and out of Nebraska. He is a member of the Nebraska State Callers Association and the Omaha Area Callers Association where he has held the position of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
