Charles (Chuck) Lee Mashburn, best friend and beloved husband for 46 years to Mrs. Margaret Ellen Mashburn, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014. Born in Merkle, Texas on October 27, 1939, he was a Viet Nam Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having retired with 20 years of service. Following Navy retirement, he served with a smile in the Civil Service (Ft. Gordon), Plant Vogtle, Westside High School Navy ROTC instructor, Sears repairman, Safe Company (Waynesboro), Martina's Flowers & Gifts delivery, Ft. Discovery exhibit maintenance. He was a Deacon and Elder of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, and as his occupation and recreation, he was a square dance caller for 38 years. Chuck recorded on Tarheel and Thunderbird records.
