Jim Kline began Square Dancing in 1963. He graduated from college with a Bachelor of Music Education and became a school band director, working for 11 years. Completing his Master in Education Degree with a Counseling Major, Jim has been a Middle School Counselor since moving to Rawlins, Wyoming, in 1988.

In 1998, Jim began calling and reactivated the local Square Dance club. Together with his wife, Kathie, Jim attended the Cascade Caller School in 2000, and also began round dancing and round dance cueing that same year.
