Profile in Callers and Cuers Doc Gray passed away from complications of Alzheimer's on June 7, 2019. His service will be on July 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Worship Center, 6825 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey, Florida. Doc was a full-time traveling caller, calling Basic - A2. He was also a recording artist, conducted caller seminars, one night stands, and Community Dance Programs (CDP). He was a member of the American Callers Association, the New England Council of Callers where he was president for four years, and was a delegate to the New England Council of Callers Association. In the Tampa Bay area he called for Bay Area Twirlers (BATS), Spinning Wheels, Buttons & Bows of Lakeland, Oxbow, Orlando Singles, and Temple Twirlers to name a few, as well as teaching numerous beginners square dance classes. He was also the MC caller for the Dance at the Florida Fair for many years. When he retired from calling, he started being a DJ for numerous parties and celebrations. He is survived by several children and his ex-wife, retired cuer Patricia Fuller-Gardner.
