George Robert (Bob) Fisk, 75, a former Chino resident, died December 8th, 2005 in Boise, Idaho. Born August 26, 1930, in Kansas City, MO. He was married to Lois J. Sims. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and owned Fisk Excavating Company. Bob and Lois took up square dancing in 1957, and soon thereafter, Bob put down his excavation tools and took up the microphone. He became one of the nation's top Square Dance Callers and in 1963, he began recording on the Blue Star label. In 1965, the Fisks moved to Southern California. He was invited to become one of the first members of the tender new organization called CallerLab in 1971. He continued to travel to call and conduct caller workshops all throughout the country while keeping an active program close to home. In addition to square dancing, he was an avid pilot and enjoyed the outdoors and sports. Singing was his love and he continued to call square dances and sung Karaoke until his death.
