Profile in Callers and Cuers

Walt is from Macon, Georgia. He retired from the USAF at RAF Lakenheath in England and decided to make his home near there. He enjoys an outstanding reputation as an 'American Caller'. Walt is chairman of the Grand Square, Inc. UK Team and a Staff Caller. He is an active member of CALLERLAB and the European Callers & Teachers Association. Walt is currently in his second term as President for the Square Dance Callers Club of Great Britain. He is the team leader for the GSI UK team and has been instrumental in bringing the GSI Festival and Callers school to the UK in 2007, as well as the current GSI effort, the 2009 GSI UK Festival and first ever Caller and Cuer School. Calling since the early 70's have taken Walt to thirty states and ten countries. He calls Basic through A2 and is a staff artist for A&S Records produced in Warner Robins, GA.
