Johnny "Dutch" Schultz, 90, of Sun City, AZ, passed away, July 3, 2009. He was born in Oakland, CA on March 19, 1919. After honorably serving his country during WWII in the U.S. Army, Dutch moved to Arizona and has lived here for the past 65 years. During that time his career was in manufacturing of prosthesis. Dutch was also an International Square Dance Caller. He and his wife Dee taught Country and Western Dance for 15 years. Dutch was very proud of Sun City; he served on the Sheriff's Posse and the Sun City Prides and wrote eight songs about his beloved town. Dutch is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Dee; sons, Roy (Kathy) Schultz, John (Bette) Schultz; sisters, Eleanor De Vorss, Ella Slaughter; grandchildren, Kimberly Simon, Brian Schultz and five great grandchildren. - Published in The Arizona Republic on July 7, 2009
