I personally created and own the Rambler Records label. I called professionally for about 27 years and eventually quit calling in 2001. When I started calling there were over 60 clubs in my San Antonio home town. I traveled extensively throughout the 27 years as well as maintaining several clubs at home. Toward the end, the activity was really beginning to fade. This was so unfortunate and I attribute the decline mostly to the fact that we could no longer interest young people to get involved. I started dancing when I was 15 and danced 10 years before starting to call. And of course there were no video games and such back then.
