Profile in Callers and Cuers

Dan started dancing at the age of 12 and has been in the entertainment business since the age of 13. Since starting to call in 1978, Dan has acquired an enormous variety of material and entertainment expertise. He is equally capable of teaching an inexperienced group the basics of square dancing, line dancing, mixers, circle dances, traditional dance or calling for a group of experienced dancers. Dan records for the Chaparral label, and has been hired in many states in the U.S. and Canada. He currently is very active in his local square dance callers association, Swingmasters, as well as serving many years on the Executive Board of MSDCA, the MN state callers association, and he is a Callerlab member. Dan has also been the keynote speaker at the leadership seminar for the State Square Dance Federation of MN.
