Gold Rush Records was founded in 1997 by Scott Brown, a caller from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After about a 12 year hiatus from the activity, in 2009 Scott decided to start releasing music again. This time he had his son Shawn Brown by his side. In 2012 we began releasing 1 to 2 songs per month specifically for the woman caller. I am confident in saying that we are one of the first (if not the first) Square Dance Record Label to go specifically after the female market. We currently have a wide variety of songs designed for the female caller. Gold Rush Records also began releasing Square and Round dance music in multiple Digital formats, including Karaoke based formats, which provide Callers and Cuers with options that were never previously available. Here at Gold Rush Records we are dedicated to providing Square and Round dance leaders with the most dynamic music options available in the world today. It is our goal to revolutionize Modern Western Style Square and Round Dancing with not only high quality music and recordings, but also by utilizing karaoke technology to make the activity more accessible to new dance leaders as well as the hearing impaired.
